As announced on the March 15 Webinar, we have seen an 87% increase in no shows for classes and webinars. As a result, we have made the difficult decision to increase our no show fees in hopes of preventing these unwanted attendance issues.
Rescheduling fees/no show fees are as follows effective April 17, 2023:
Session A’s and courses with one practical session – full cost of course (ie. Facials Level 1 Session A = $2395)
Session B’s - $500
Exam Days/Exam Only - $125
Webinars - $150
Student Spa Shifts - $500
Skills Exhibit - $125
What is defined as a no show?
Students are marked as no show by an instructor when they have not arrived to the facility before the doors lock (the facility is locked 10 minutes before class starts).
No show fees can be avoided in the event of an emergency, so long as the student notifies the school prior to the start of class. An emergency is defined as illness, death in the family, or cancellation of scheduled childcare. A doctors note, obituary, or notice from your childcare provider must be provided to your Student Advisor via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) in order for your rescheduling fee to be waived.
You may notify the school via phone or email prior to the start of class; proof of a valid reason must be provided to be rescheduled by a member of our team at no charge. Failure to provide a valid reason for your absence will result in you needing to pay the full course fee upon booking your new date online.
Students required to pay a rescheduling fee can now do so directly in the practical booking platform (Vagaro). If you are not required to pay a rescheduling fee, your Student Advisor will work with you to reschedule your class to a suitable date.
These changes will be in effect as of April 17, 2023. We thank you for your understanding. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out for clarification.
